- the K-Lo Market, a new school-based pantry we co-founded in Cambridge
- the food pantry and the Senior Brown Bag program at ABCD’s Elm Hill Family Service Center in Roxbury
- Community Servings, which delivers nutritious food to people living with critical and chronic illnesses
- East End House’s Putnam Upper Afterschool Program
- Freedom Farm now takes some of our stale bread to feed to their hogs. Yet another way to bridge the gap between waste and want!

- We’ve welcomed Ross Richmond in the exciting new role of Community Partnerships Manager.
- We’ve also had to say goodbye to Kelly Worrall, our first-ever Operations Director. In her time here, she helped us grow our operations, and we know she’ll be awesome in her next role, too!
- We’re welcoming our new Operations Director, Ryan Lee! He brings 7 years experience directing The Walk for Hunger with Project Bread.
- We’ve kicked off this year’s Field of Greens season with a new Farm Manager, Catie Bekel, as well as a new Assistant Farm Manager, Allison Houghton. Shifts happen every Wednesday mornings…join us at the farm!
- We also welcome Megan Bodo as our new Home Delivery Coordinator.
- We’ve also welcomed two new board members: welcome, Bruce Posner and Rob Steinberg!
- Our 2nd annual Empty Bowls benefit at Mudflat Pottery School was a great success! We welcomed hundreds of guests, served soup from a dozen amazing restaurants, and nearly sold out of beautiful bowls! Thanks to our generous attendees and donors, this event brought in over $9,000 for our Food Rescue work!
- We’ve just started gathering our team for the Ride for Food, our second largest fundraising event of the year. Like the idea of a fun bike ride for the Food For Free cause? Join us!
