Goodbye Kelly

A man stands next to a table of produce with a sign that says "Food For Free."

Our first ever Operations Director is moving on. Today will be Kelly Worrall’s last day at Food For Free. Kelly has been with us for just over 10 Empty Bowls 2015 045months, but in that short time she has had a significant impact. Kelly has helped to define a new role and put infrastructure in place to support it. She has helped us develop our prepared foods rescue program, grown the number of recipient agencies – and therefore people – that we serve, and added new cities to Food For Free’s distribution routes. Kelly helped kick off new programs: one with ABCD in Brighton (a mobile food pantry reaching homeless families staying in motels) and also the K-Lo Market serving families of students at Kennedy Longfellow in Cambridge. AND… she did a fantastic job along side her Mom serving soup at our recent Empty Bowls event. She is leaving us in a stronger position with a better understanding of the role of Operations Director.

As many of you know, Kelly’s background is in science. She was recruited for a specific position at a scientific equipment company. Kelly says she is sad to go but the new position is perfectly aligned with her training and experience and is an opportunity for career advancement. Kelly remains committed to Food For Free and you will likely be seeing her at one of our future events.

Thank you Kelly, and best of luck!
