What’s going on around here? (Winter 2016 edition)

    • New freezer van to expand Prepared Food Rescue!

      • vote_stickerThank you, voters! Cambridge residents ages 12 & up had the opportunity to vote directly on how to spend $600,000 of the City’s capital budget.

        The Prepared Food Rescue Freezer Van proposal won more votes than any other project on the ballot, and will be funded for FY 2016-2017![Learn about the winning projects!]

        Timeline is to be determined, but we could have access to the freezer van as early as fall of this year—stay tuned!

  • New food donors:
    • We recently began working with Tufts University and Emmanuel College to collect surplus prepared foods from their respective dining services. Welcome! #gojumbos #gosaints
  • New food program:
    • We’ve added a new program at the Moore Youth Center: we’re now providing food for their afterschool program for teens, which offers homework assistance, arts, leadership development, and fun for youth age 14-19.
