New drivers: Donald Collins & Tony Leva

A man stands next to a table of produce with a sign that says "Food For Free."

We have two new drivers on board on our trucks: Donald is a new regular driver, while Tony is a “pinch driver” of sorts, handling a few farmers’ market & weekend pickups during our busy summer season.

Here’s Donald (on the right) cutting up with longtime Food For Free driver Adam Collins.

Donald Collins was born and raised in Cambridge and attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin. He has cooked in many restaurants throughout Greater Boston and is a part-time actor and musician. He loves food and is glad to have found his way back.

By the way, if you find yourself thinking that Adam and Donald have similar smiles, you’re not imagining things: these two are brothers! Here’s to making food rescue a family affair.

Tony Leva
Tony has volunteered for Food For Free, and now joins the team as a part-time driver!

Tony Leva recently joined Food For Free as a farmers’ market pick-up driver. A professional musician, he plays bass with Jaggery & Bury Me Standing, teaches private lessons, and composes music for puppet shows including the hit family show Squirrel Stole My Underpants. He also gardens at Squirrel Brand Community Garden. Coincidence? We think not.

By the way, if you’ve attended our Empty Bowls benefit, you might have heard Tony play—he’s contributed live music to both!
