GFOG_MassachusettsHey, look who’s on Food Tank’s “Five Awesome Food Organizations in Massachusetts” list! It’s us!

Launched by Food Tank and the James Beard Foundation, the first annual Good Food Org Guide identifies and celebrates more than five hundred United States-based groups who are cultivating a better food system, including these five from Massachusetts.

Food for Free

Food for Free in Cambridge, MA rescues and redistributes food waste to local food pantries and anti-hunger organizations. They also do direct home deliveries to some clients, and partner with Lindentree Farm to produce their own nutrient-dense food for donation.

There are some other great orgs on the list—The Food Project, Gaining Ground, New England Small Farm Institute, and Youth Growing Organics in Worcester. Click through to learn more about these great organizations and their organic produce grown for pantries, farm education and advocacy, and Drop It Like It’s Hot Sauce.

We’re delighted to be included on this list, Food Tank!
