I believe I was the high bidder last night for Claire Walker Leslie's book and walk. Just now read the program and guidelines on picking up items so now realize someone's had to schlep the book and whatever else because I didn't stick around last night. Please call or write and I'll come to you pick up the book and pay up. What a wonderful celebration last night. Thank you.

WOW! Congratulations to Dennis! And Simon (who I have not met)! Looking forward to seeing Dennis later in the season so I can congratulate him myself. Glad all of the back-breaking work is acknowledged for what it is - way more than just lifting.

I'm actually struck by how similar the 1916 guide is to the current version. On the other hand, I am nostalgic for when butter was considered a food group.

Hi Tabitha, Food For Free is located in Massachusetts, but you ought to be able to get help through the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. If you visit their website at http://content.foodbankcenc.org/about/zip.asp
you can enter your zip code and find food pantries close to you. You might also want to visit http://www.fns4nc.org/ to apply for food stamps, if you haven't already.

I hope this helps!

Ariele--you're right. Hunger is a nation-wide problem. But, the good news is: we're not alone! There are dozens (Possibly hundreds--I don't know of them all!) of food rescue organizations around the country. Just Google "food rescue" and a number of them will pop up.

you should expand your services to other states because even if you manage to feed every person in MA there are still 49 other states full of starving people.
