a thank you from On The Rise

A man stands next to a table of produce with a sign that says "Food For Free."

Ashley Forgione, of On the Rise, left this sweet comment on our Facebook page today. (I’m reposting it here for those of you who aren’t on Facebook.)

“Good morning! I would like to thank Dennis and all at Food For Free for arriving every Thursday morning to our doorstep with a smile on his face. At On The Rise in Cambridge we rely on the year-round access to produce to support homeless women in hunger and health. The food we receive from FFF sustains us and we look forward to the variety and options.

Thanks again for helping to provide safety, community and advocacy to homeless women!”–Ashley Forgione

On The Rise creates a community where women have the relationships, safety and resources they need to move out of homelessness. We at Food For Free admire and support On The Rise’s work with homeless women and are glad to be able to support their Safe Haven program.
