A Day in the Life of a FFF Intern

A man stands next to a table of produce with a sign that says "Food For Free."

I have been interning in the Food for Free office since September 2010, continuing my work as a volunteer from earlier that year. Even though I only have a few months under my belt, I have already learned a lot about how Food for Free operates and the work that is required to keep things running smoothly. I am continually amazed that such a small staff is capable of doing all this on their own!

My work at Food for Free has ranged from helping at the Party Under the Harvest Moon fundraiser event, to collecting data on the number of individuals served by our recipient agencies, and from sending thank-you letters to our generous donors, to writing blog posts! Check back soon for my post about helping on the home delivery truck run.
